    Three years ago we became first time homebuyers. This afternoon we signed the papers and tonight we shut the garage door for the last time. Tears swelled as I drove the girls in our packed cruiser. “Goodbye home, thank you, you served us well” we said. Such a funny thing to be emotional over, but that’s me. Tonight we sleep in our “in-between” home that we are ever so grateful to our friends for letting us use this next week. Friday May 31st is my last day working at Northwest Orthopedic and that night we’ll move into our new rental. Bittersweet. That’s all I can say about that. Saturday June 1st we’ll start our road trip to California to be with family as my nephew (the first born grandchild in my family) graduates high school! If J doesn’t get called to a fire it will be the first time in 10 years that all five of us siblings have been together! Exciting and sad, happy and busy, grateful and really just so dang grateful!     A few things I’ve been wanting to share with you all (long post, bare with me)!These past few months have been a bit crazy for our family. •Zach and I made the difficult and most financially smart decision for our family to sell our home. So on top of working really hard at our jobs, we worked really hard to finish home projects and get it ready for new owners. It posted for sale and within 4 days we were under contract with two other back-up offers. Now we’re on the hunt for a rental while we save for the next few years to build our dream home. That being said...if you or anyone you know is renting a home in the Flathead Valley that isn’t on Craigslist or Zillow already, LET US KNOW PLEASE! •With the sale of our home it will allow me to stay home with the girls again. So that being said, if you or anyone you know is looking for a M-F:8-5, great benefits, amazing coworkers, practice associate (front desk) position is available!! Let me know if you want to apply!

    We need to talk. We need to talk about suicidal thoughts and why you’re not crazy for having them. Maybe you’re sad, fearful, frustrated, overwhelmed, or whatever other emotion. I don’t know your history or present self. But I do know mine. I was 12 years old the first time I tried to kill myself. Twelve. I was 12 years old the second and final attempt, too...February 28th, 2001..the night before my 13th birthday. 17 years later and it still messes with me. Like tonight. Tonight Zach and I were watching ‘A Star Is Born’ and emotion flooded me. We don’t know every nitty gritty detail of each other’s stories, and honestly we don’t need to. But maybe if we each worked on empathy. If we each took a moment and looked up from our phones, our work, our sorry excuses. If we stepped outside of our own crazy and chaotic lives and put ourselves in the mindset of those around us, it is of my deepest belief that we would be a much more compassionate, caring, forgiving, and loving world. A world worth living in. A world where raising little loves doesn’t terrify the crud out of us. A world where we still send love notes to our best friend on Valentine’s Day and include a drawing from each of the little love’s whom were created because you didn’t succeed at suicide. You matter. You and every part of your story matters. This world needs your story. We need every pretty + ugly part of it. Love well, friends. And I am always here to talk! 💚
    “Conflict is important.” She said. Well you know what Jennie, I 100% agree with you!! The hard stuff, the long winter, the dormant (alive but not actively growing) parts of life are so important!! The ugly parts of us we desperately work on shedding, the words we keep saying and instantly regretting, the insane thoughts we think that we know are rude or hateful are all important. They remind us what we want to grow away from. Or at least they should be teaching us. Teaching us to sympathize, to be more compassionate, to humble ourselves often.
